In spite of the negative effects of the global crisis, Mersin 4th Food, Food Technologies and Packaging Fair in 2010 has 179 exhibitors in 6,000 sqm area. 39 foreign companies were represented by international branch offices. In total, previous exhibition visited by 25,550 attendees. The number of international professional attendees is 150 from 11 countries and 18,850 national professional attendees from 22 cities from Turkey.

Mersin as a city, located in Mediterranean cost of Turkey and with¡¯s 1600 hectare agricultural lands. Mersin is Turkey¡¯s agricultural warehouse. 90% OF PULSE EXPORTS OF TURKEY IS MADE FROM MERSIN
70% of the industry for pulse processing is established in Mersin. The rest mostly supply the goods for processing from Mersin. And Turkey exports 90% of pulses from Mersin.
Exporters, who know world pulse market well, use Mersin as a production and trading center. Mersin has critically importance in international pulse markets and organizations. In World Pulse Association, Turkey is represented by pulse producers from Mersin.
