Amsterdam RAI, is embarking on the new millennium with fresh ilan. What started as The Bicycle Industry (De Rijwiel-Industrie) Association in 1893 has grown in just over a century into an international leading exhibition and congress organisation. Its home bases are the RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre in Amsterdam and the Maastricht Exposition and Congress Centre (MECC). The Amsterdam RAI complex in south Amsterdam is now one of the busiest exhibition and conference centres in the world and in late 1998 it welcomed the 70 millionth visitor to pass through its doors since it opened in 1961.
