Electricity for all at Electric Indonesia 2009

Electric Indonesia 2009 will take place 14-17 October at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran.  .  It will form part of the Energy and Mining Indonesia Series of Trade Exhibitions which also includes three other specialised trade exhibitions held in different halls, Building and Construction Indonesia, Oil and Gas Indonesia and Mining Indonesia occupying all nine halls at the exhibition centre.
Electric Indonesia the 14th in its series and largest in its history, will incorporate Renewable Energy Indonesia and be held in conjunction with Water and Envirotech Indonesia. This year over 600 companies from 34 countries will participate showing the huge potential in Indonesia’s Power and Electric Industries. Regional & National Pavilions from Taiwan, Korea, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Singapore, UK, and China will showcase the latest technology and equipment to help meet the countries huge demand for additional power.
Under it’s vision, “Electricity for all” The Government is currently planning to increase power generation by 35,000MW by 2015 at an investment of over US$40Billion.  Driven by Indonesia’s massive natural gas resources and Bio-gas potential the Gas Turbine market alone is huge, with the world’s leading companies including  Alstom, Anglo Belgium Corporation, Ansaldo, Deutz Power Systems, Dresser-Rand, Euroasiatic,  Guascor,  Hitachi , GE Jenbacher, Greaves Cotton,  John Deere, Kawasaki, Lister-Petter, Mitsubishi, Nanjing Gas Turbine, Stamford, Toshiba, Wartsila and Waukhesa already reserving large stands at the exhibition.

Other major exhibitors include PLN, Areva, Sahabat Indonesia, Mennekes, Rittal, Schneider, Guna Elektro,  Jalamas and Zug Industry.
Electric Indonesia has once again garnered the full support from the Department of Energy and Mines, PLN (Persero), the Indonesian Electrical Power Society (MKI), the Association of Indonesian Electrical and Mechanical Contractors (AKLI), the Indonesian Electrical Lighting Industry Association (APERLINDO), the Indonesian Electric Cable Manufacturers’ Association (APKABEL), Association of Electrical Industries of Indonesia (APPI).
As with previous years a high level conference will be organized by MKI ( The Indonesian Electrical Power Society)  under the theme, “Electricity for all- An Update” to coincide with the Governments plans to provide Electricity for all by the year 2020. This conference is timely to meet Indonesia’s Accelerated Power Supply Development; key topics will look at Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution, ICT in the Electric Power System and Environmental issues.
The Energy and Mining Indonesia Series of Trade Exhibitions are expected to be officiated by the President of Indonesia H.E DR. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, stressing the huge importance the government places on these industries to Indonesia’s future economic development.
